Caroline Vance 5 Months Old!

Another month has FLOWN by sweet girl, I say it every month but I think this month has been one of my favorites. Your little personality is starting to shine through and we fall in love with you more and more each day! You have the cutest little personality and are always SO happy, which we are grateful for! You have a mean tooth punching through your gum yet you're still happy as a lark. You experienced your first illness--the croup--this month, you handled it like a champ. Mommy, not so much, I was kind of a mess. Truly nothing worse than seeing your sweet baby sick. You'll understand one day. I'm so grateful to be able to stay home with you during this time! It's truly a blessing, thank you daddy and thank you for wanting me to stay home with our girl! We've gotten into a routine finally and your seem to do well with a routine. So like your momma, we love our routines. You're a social butterfly and show off that gummy smile whenever you get a chance. You are so much fun and we can't wait to keep watching you grow and grow!

You took your first trip to mommy's favorite place in the world, Ocean Isle Beach! Can't wait for our Easter trip and beach trip with both families this summer! :)

You love your hands and they are most always in your mouth. Your hands or mommy's hands one of the two. We also found out that your big cousin Jesse (mommy's little cousin) made the Tennessee football team! We can't wait to catch a game in Knoxville in the fall, go Vols!
 5 month highlights:

  • About 13lbs we think! We'll probably take you in to get weighed next week.
  • You take 5 6oz bottles during the day we alternate between breast milk and formula! I nurse you in the mornings, a dream feed, and sometimes during the night.
  • Your sleeping has kind of been off because of this tooth. We're still getting at least 5-6 hour stretches which I'm grateful for! You get up for the day about 6:15 and we start night time routine around 6:45 each night.
  • You're rolling both ways now such a big big girl
  • You're claiming favorite toys! Sophie, your other teething giraffe, your ball that rattles, and your cube with a mirror and squeaky things on it! Also, your jumperoo!
  • Your happiest times are when you first wake up. I love the smiles that greet us each time.

The croup was terrible. But we SURVIVED thanks to lots of phone calls to MiMi and Nana.

Our photo shoots are starting to really crack me up. We did this one sans daddy, note to mommy not again. He always gets the best smiles and a lot less face plants. We sure do love you our precious girl, you're truly a joy and a blessing!
