30 Week Bump-DATE.

How Far Along..... 30 Weeks!

Baby Size......3lbs 15 inches long about the size of a cabbage!

Weight Gain: 17 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: Yes in the bottoms and wearing lots of dresses lately. These humid summer days are too hot for much more! :)

Stretch Marks: None from pregnancy!

Sleep: Past two night I've slept the majority of the night. Maybe my 3:30-5am snack time/pinterest time was just a few night fluke?

Gender: A sweet baby GIRL Caroline Vance Walters.
Movement: Oh yes all the time and I love it!

Best Moment this Week: My sister was in town Sunday thru yesterday! I love when she comes to play!

Looking Forward To: The weekend with the hubs. We don't have many "down" weekends between now and when Miss Caroline makes her arrival in 9 or so weeks so we're soaking up our time together!
Food Cravings:  Mustard. I normally don't LOVE mustard but I've been on a mustard kick lately.
Anything making you queasy/sick?: Nope!

Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks especially at night before bed. Hello tight stomach and can't breathe.

What I miss: Getting comfortable easily at night and not being able to do much. While packing up our house Derik is forever yelling at me to don't move that don't lift that it's too heavy.

Symptoms: Growing belly, back pain, and heartburn.

Nursery:  Our nursery bedding came in! So excited! It is just making me want to pack up and move this weekend. I wish we could do that. One month Sarah ONE month.

Belly Button in or Out? In but getting mighty shallow the top pops out after I eat.

Mood: Happy happy happy!

Wedding Rings on or Off?: On! :)

Workouts: Walks after dinner with the hubs and pup. Looking into some yoga to prepare for labor!

Pregnancy Insomnia....

It's 4:01 am and I'm wide awake on the couch eating applesauce,  even though I long to be fast asleep in bed with the hubs and the pup. Pregnancy insomnia has been rough y'all and has haunted me this past week. So, I figure why not update the blog on what's been going on outside of just bumpdates.

Things have been busy y'all. Real busy. Hence the lack of blogging. Derik got a new job in Winston Salem, we put our house on the market, we began the house hunting process, we began the packing process, we switched doctors, and add some trips to Hickory and school work in between and tada...busy Walters.

Although we've been super busy we can't help but have recognized the Lord's faithfulness over the past few months. When Derik applied for this job we began praying on what to do if he got it. It's about a 45 mile commute (one way) from our current home. We prayed and prayed about what to do. Do we go ahead and put our house on the market? Wait until Caroline got here? Wait until after Christmas? Well Derik got the job so I'm sure glad we started praying ahead of time. After many prayers, tears, and some guidance we decided to go ahead and list our house just to see what would happen. We listed on a Thursday evening, it was under contract by Sunday. Talk about the Lord's faithfulness, answer to prayer, and clearly the direction we were supposed to go in. We then began the house hunt and again the Lord was faithful. We made many a trip to Kernersville, NC in a time span of 3 weeks we saw over 25-30 houses. We finally found the one that felt like home house #18 or so and made an offer. However, they didn't accept and we were at peace and moved on. We continued our search and made another offer that fell thru. We then received a phone call that the house we made our original offer on was willing to restart their conversation with a significant counter offer. We had also just made offer #3 on a different home. Again a lot of praying began. In the end we chose the house that we first fell in love with, the one that felt like home. We're under contract and are continuing to pray that all goes well and will hopefully close at the end of August and get moved in and mostly settled by the time Miss Caroline arrives. Y'all can't tell me the Lord isn't faithful. A lot (our parents) thought we were crazy for making this move all while 6 months pregnant--when the process began--but we had faith and trusted the Lord and knew that He would provide. He did just that He provided. Although we are sad to be leaving our first home after only a year of being here we couldn't be more excited about starting our new chapter in our new home with our sweet baby girl. We hope to be in our new home sweet home by Labor Day weekend about a month before Miss C's due date.

Life has been pretty crazy for us Walters here lately but the best kind of crazy so we can't complain. We have lots of exciting stuff coming up and I will try my hardest to update more frequently than just weekly bumpdates!

How Far Along 25 Weeks!

Baby Size......An eggplant

Best Moment this Week: We spent the weekend in Hickory with the in-laws and always have the best time! My aunt also complied to my pregnancy cravings and we had a huge family dinner last night.

Looking Forward To: Date night with the hubs this weekend. :)

Food Cravings:  Off and on throughout this pregnancy I've been craving some of my grandmother's cooking. She would rotate between her kids each week fixing them country style steak, green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls, and coconut pies. Last night my sweet aunt made the exact same meal and it tasted just like my Maw-Maw's. This preggo gal was over the moon.

Anything making you queasy/sick?: Nope!

Labor Signs: No!

What I miss: Bending over without getting short of breath.

Symptoms: Heart burn.

Nursery: We're listing our house this week so holding off on nursery plans right this moment. Crazy aren't we?

Belly Button in or Out? In!

Mood: Happy happy happy!

Prayers for Caroline:
Lord,
This week as Caroline's inner ear develops we pray for her hearing. We pray that you keep her safe from ear infections that often plague sweet babies. We pray for her sense of balance and direction. That she may always follow Your lead Lord. We thank you for this sweet gift.

Amen
