Weight Gain: Still holding steady at 11lbs. Not complaining! :)

Maternity Clothes: Yes. Yes. Yes.

Stretch Marks: None from pregnancy!

Sleep: Great, for the most part. I was WIDE AWAKE from 1am-until a little after 5 Saturday night. Miss Caroline was super super active after being relatively calm all day.

Gender: A sweet baby GIRL Caroline Vance Walters.

Movement: Oh yes all the time!

Best Moment this Week: Celebrating all the incredible men in my life! My daddy, father-in-law, and favorite daddy to be.

Looking Forward To: Celebrating our sweet niece's 1st birthday on Sunday :)

Food Cravings:  Ice Cream and bananas.

Anything making you queasy/sick?: Nope!

Labor Signs: No!

What I miss: Getting out bed easily...sometimes it's easier said than done.

Symptoms: Heart burn.

Nursery: Well..this is still a well. Possibility of a move before Caroline's arrival so nursery plans are paused until we decide what to do.

Belly Button in or Out? In!

Mood: Happy happy happy!

Prayers for Caroline:
Lord,
This week as Caroline's inner ear develops we pray for her hearing. We pray that you keep her safe from ear infections that often plague sweet babies. We pray for her sense of balance and direction. That she may always follow Your lead Lord. We thank you for this sweet gift.

Amen

Five on Friday!

It's Friday Friday gotta get down on Friday! :) Isn't that a song? I'm singing a version of it in my head even though its probably not correct.

1) Yesterday we had our 24 week check up on our sweet girl! Her heartbeat is strong, she's very active, and my belly is measuring right on track. It's crazy to think that our next appointment is the big glucola test and then we start our every 2 weeks. I know it's going to start FLYING after that. Holy mama.

2) I whipped up Cheeseburger Quesadillas the other night for dinner. So very very yummy. And so so easy! Here's a recipe similar to what I whipped up, I really didn't follow a recipe necessarily.

 3) This skirt from Target. It's by far my favorite maternity maxi skirt. I could live in it. Thanks to my sweet cousin for picking this up for me as a surprise. She's the best. :) Buy it HERE if you're expecting I can almost promise you won't regret this purchase.

4) It's the last day of school for a lot of my teacher friends! Hooray for y'all making it through another school year! Being an education major for the majority of my undergrad until I switched junior year (yeah brave I know) merits a lot of teacher friends. My sister is also a second grade teacher! Thankful that all my friends had a great and safe school year! Now finish up teacher workdays so you can play with me! :)

5) Happy Father's Day weekend! I'm excited to celebrate with a few men who are all wonderful fathers!

My sweet daddy. I don't think y'all could ever doubt the love I have for my daddy! He's one of the most incredibly selfless, generous, kindest souls I know. He's had a rough few months and a tough road ahead. I'm so thankful the Lord made him my daddy. He's going to be the best Pop Pop to our sweet Caroline, I can't wait to see her and him together. I know it's going to be the sweetest bond.

My wonderful father in law Greg! I really can't say enough about my in-laws. I've heard too many horror stories about in-laws and people look at me like I'm crazy when I say I genuinely love and get along with mine. I'm so thankful that Greg set such a wonderful example for Derik as to what a husband should be and also what kind of father to be. We love you IONA man and I'm so thankful that Caroline is going to have you as a wonderful Pap! :)

I know without a doubt this man is going to be an incredible father. The way he cares for me, supports me, he's truly my prince charming and I know he's going to be Caroline's too. We never had to have the discussion of wanting children, he established that we were going to have 3 from the start, ha I say 2. When he saw that positive pregnancy face I don't think I've ever seen his face light up so quickly even thought it wasn't necessarily planned. I'm thankful for the man he is and the father he's going to become! I love you babe!

Happy Father's Day!

Five on Friday!

It's Friday! I love Friday's. Derik always wakes up in the best mood which in turn puts me in an automatic better mood. Plus, I have this lovely Friday off so that's always a great kickstart to the weekend.

1) With warmer weather in full gear we've been grilling like it's our job. Seriously we've grilled 4 out of the past 5 nights we've been home for dinner. Grilled chicken, grilled salmon, pork chops, hamburgers, corn, veggies. You name it we've grilled it. I found this yummy recipe to give our veggies a little extra flavor. Yummy yum.

2) My maternity shorts from Old Navy finally arrived this week. Of course one pair being extremely too large. Seriously we could parachute in them. Momma to the rescue we're journeying to Greensboro this afternoon to exchange them hopefully. My jeans were getting way too hot for this momma this week. Dear Old Navy's everywhere please include a maternity section in all of your stores. It would really make life so much easier!!! :)

3) CMT music awards were this week. Y'all know this girl loves her country music. And it ended up being my girl Carrie's big night. Since we're BFF'S and all she deserved a shot out on the blog.

4) I feel like my bumpity bump has really popped out lately. Although things are getting a little uncomfortable and a little more difficult with an ever-growing belly I really love it. It's a reminder that sweet Caroline is growing and developing!

5) I'm starting my Proverbs 31 woman challenge on Monday and I couldn't be more excited to dig deeper into the word and discover the wife and mother the Lord wants me to be!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

22 weeks!

Baby Size.....Spaghetti Squash around 11 inches long and about 1lb in weight.

Weight Gain: Gained another two pounds this week so up a total of 9 from my 12 week appointment.

Maternity Clothes: Yes. Yes. Yes. I can no longer get away with hair ties, just ain't happening.

Stretch Marks: None from pregnancy!

Gender: A sweet baby GIRL Caroline Vance Walters.

Movement: Oh yes especially in the last 48 hours. She kicked and moved my arm yesterday.

Best Moment this Week: We had a wonderful weekend not too terribly busy! We celebrated my sweet cousin graduating from high school!

Looking Forward To: A fun bridal shower for my sweet friend, Kenzie, and being reunited with a lot of my high school gal pals. :)

Food Cravings: Fruit and Ice Cream.

Anything making you queasy/sick?: Nothing really, but Derik suggested salmon for dinner last night and it made my stomach churn. Pre-pregnancy I loved salmon and the past couple times we've had it I can't seem to make through a few bites. So sad.

Labor Signs: None, thankfully. I've read too much on my baby board on Baby Center here lately where women are experiencing pre-term labor symptoms.

What I miss: Eating without immediately regretting that decision because I know heartburn is in my near near future. Although, it's definitely not as bad as it could be and for that I'm thankful.

Symptoms: Heart burn, round ligament pain, a noticeable, growing, and stretchinggggg belly

Nursery: We've taped it off and ready for daddy to paint. :)

Belly Button in or Out? In!

Mood: Happy, excited, overjoyed!

Prayers for Caroline this week:

Lord,
I know your hand has been in this pregnancy since the very beginning. You knew Caroline before we could even dream of her. You knew us before our parents even could dream of us. We know you're in control. Lord I pray that Caroline continues to grow healthy and strong. We praise you for a healthy pregnancy this far. Thank you for being by our sides every step of the way. You are amazing Lord and we praise you for your goodness and mercy!
Amen
