Five on Friday!

Happy Friday friends! We've had a busy week around here as we prepare to be traveling gypsies for the next week. Ok, maybe not gypsies but we will be hitting the road Saturday morning and not returning until the next Sunday!

1) Derik Caroline and I will be heading to our Nation's Capital on Saturday! He has work conferences Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday so we decided to tag along. We're staying at the JW Marriott right downtown and the side entrance to the White House is right across the street. My roommate from freshman year at ECU has graciously agreed to be our tour guide, I don't think it's me she wants to see. I may or may not have a secret wish to run around DC say "It's handled" and playing like I'm Olivia Pope....yeah all while wearing a baby. HA.

2) We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, we hosted Derik's family and also got to spend time both with my dad's side of the family and mom's. We spent the rest of Thanksgiving weekend in Williamsburg,VA with my uncle, aunt, my cousin, his wife, and their daughter Lilly. They live in Maryland so it was a really special time with our sweet family! While there we went to Busch Gardens as they turned the theme park into Christmas Town. Hi my name is Sarah, if you've learned one thing about me...it's that I have a slight obsession with Christmas. The first step is admitting right?
 3) Speaking of Christmas. My favorite rooms in our house are finally done being decorated! Our dining room. AND our living room.

 4) Miss Priss is really growing into her personality. She gets all of her facial expressions from her mama that's for sure. The top left and bottom right, totally me. She's so much fun to watch...

5) "We cooperate with God through obedience, believing that the moment we step out on that obedience the Holy spirit will meet us with the necessary power"--Sandy Smith

I've really been learning a lot this week in my quiet times. I've been having a hard time of letting my worries and anxieties ago and giving them to God. In 1 Peter Jesus commands us to cast our cares on the Lord because He cares for us. Why oh why must we make it so hard? I keep praying for my mustard seed faith, that the Lord is in control. I've just got to let it go and let Him BE.

Hope y'all have a fun weekend friends! I'll return with DC pictures and Caroline's first Christmas celebration in West Virginia!
